CNOOC announced on March 18 that it had discovered another 100-million-ton oil field in the central and northern Bohai Sea of my country - the Qinhuangdao 27-3 oil field, with proven oil geological reserves of 104 million tons. This is the first time in 10 years that this area has discovered oil. This major oil and gas discovery is also the sixth consecutive 100-million-ton oil field discovered in the Bohai Oilfield since 2019. It is of great significance to further consolidating my country's offshore oil and gas resource reserves and ensuring national energy security.
Qinhuangdao 27-3 Oilfield is located in the central and northern Bohai Sea, about 200 kilometers west of Tianjin City, with an average water depth of about 25 meters. The discovery well Qinhuangdao 27-3-3 drilled an oil layer of 48.9 meters. , the completed drilling depth is 1,570 meters. After testing, the daily output of a single well in the oil field is about 110 tons of crude oil.
According to the relevant person in charge of CNOOC Tianjin Branch, according to normal mining, Qinhuangdao 27-3 Oilfield can extract nearly 20 million tons of crude oil, which can be refined into gasoline to meet the needs of cities with a population of one million. After being used for daily transportation by residents for more than 10 years, the extracted asphalt can pave more than 100,000 kilometers of four-lane highways.
