Streamer seismic exploration technology is the most direct, economical and efficient method in the world to detect seafloor geological structures. By "ploughing" the sea surface with a complete set of towline equipment carried by the geophysical exploration ship, "CT" scanning of the seafloor strata is achieved using seismic wave signals, so as to clearly see the oil and gas reservoirs on the seafloor.

"Haijing" is my country's first complete set of streamer mode seismic survey acquisition equipment independently developed and manufactured. It consists of source control, streamer acquisition, integrated navigation, positioning and control and other equipment. The system composition breaks through the 22-meter operating water depth limit of imported equipment, achieves full range coverage from small track spacing to conventional track spacing, has 2 Hz ultra-low frequency signal acquisition capabilities, and greatly improves the resolution of seismic data.

CNOOC technical experts said that compared with imported equipment, the seismic data collected by "Haijing" has higher recognition and can penetrate 3,000 meters of water depth and accurately depict 10,000-meter strata. complex geological structure.

During this operation, the "Haiyang Shiyou 720" deep-water geophysical exploration vessel, in accordance with the design requirements, laid out 10 cables over 8 kilometers long in the "Haijing" system in sequence. In the sea water, a data collection network with an area equivalent to 1021 standard football fields is formed, along the The route conducts sea surface towline acquisition operations, completes seismic data collection of seismic sources and geophone points in real time, and accurately demarcates the location of oil and gas reservoirs like "longitude and latitude lines" on the vast sea surface, achieving high-quality exploration and development of deep-sea oil and gas resources.

Among my country’s proven oil and gas reserves, about 40% of marine oil and gas resources are contained in deep water areas. This operation is located in the 3,000-meter ultra-deep water area of ​​the Pearl River Mouth Basin. It is my country's first three-dimensional seismic exploration in an ultra-deep water area with a water depth of more than 3,000 meters.

It is understood that since it was put into operation in September 2022, "Haijing"Having experienced a variety of operating methods from conventional seismic acquisition to high-density continuous acquisition to high-coverage rolling acquisition, we have successfully completed three-dimensional seismic exploration of a total of 3,935 square kilometers of sea area in 4 work areas, and have achieved product finalization and industrial production. It has the full industry chain capabilities of R&D, manufacturing and service, and has established a complete industrialized manufacturing system.

The successful application of "Haijing" has filled the gap in my country's field of marine streamer seismic exploration technology. This gap makes my country the third country in the world to have a complete set of marine seismic survey streamer acquisition equipment.
